Nostalgia #1 - My two fathers

Thanks sis Rose for inviting me to join your nostalgia meme. Because of the recent Father's Day event. I picked two pictures I have of the two father's I have.

The picture above is a picture of my biological father. He left us when we were in elementary grade and I decided to pay him a visit when I first went back to the Philippines in 2000. We were both surprised to see each other. He was more surprised when I introduced my boyfriend then who is now my husband. :) It was nice seeing him after more than 11 years, however after that I lost touch with him again. I hope he is okay and happy even now. I search him online once in awhile but never really find him but I communicate with all other relatives of my dad. A good memory I have with my biological dad was when he used to play with my sister and I way back when we were in Baguio City and we were not even in school yet. Anways, even though he wasn't really a dad to us I still recognize and honor him as my father.
The picture above shows my step-dad. We are really thankful and happy having him as our second dad because he is the best husband to our mom and if not because of him, we won't be where we are now. He is also caring to us, his kids. He makes my mom very happy, loved and respected in every possible way which is just what every child wants for their mom, I believe. The picture above was taken during my youngest sibling's birthday and graduation. It was taken in Tony Romas, my brother's favorite restaurant here in the island. A few months after my brother's graduation, they flew to Florida leaving my husband and me here in the island.

Hi sis, good to hear your story. You are good kasi despite of what your father didto you, left you and didn't even bother to communicate, you still honor him as a Dad. Indeed you are lucky to have a Dad that cares for you more than the real dad.

I admire for having respect to you Dad even though he wasn't there when you need him. Im sure naiisip din kayo ng tatay mo because you're his children.

You're so lucky to have stepdad who treated you like his own children.. Kudos to him =)
